N890CS is an Airbus H135 P3 based at Lake Tahoe Airport (TVL- elevation 6,269) in South Lake Tahoe, California. The crew consists of a pilot and two critical care RNs providing rapid onsite emergency care and medical transportation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

One of the first H135s to be delivered to the United States, the high endurance, extended range, and outstanding maneuverability of the P3 enables it to perform a full range of mission requirements while carrying more payload over longer distances than any aircraft in its class. Powered by two PW206B3 turboshaft engines driving a larger main rotor, the P3 provides 440 pounds greater payload capacity in hot-and-high operating conditions with a top speed of 160 miles per hour, and range of 320 miles. This aircraft is configured with the Garmin GTN 750 fully integrated navigation, communication and GPS avionics system, a Voyager Isolette Litter, single external LOX, and the North Flight Data Systems' Light Aircraft Recording System (LARS).
