History:    

Inspired by watching flight trackers of CAL FIRE's recent training for the coming fire season, the "S-2 Wrangler" logo tips a hat to our OV-10 Bronco crews who direct air traffic over the wildfires of California.

The field of stars symbolizes the collective of Fire Personnel who battle the thousands of fires we see every year. The looming shadow of the OV-10 depicts the both dreaded and welcome view of the aircraft to those who have experienced wildfires nearby. The cowboy in the blue flight suit represents the OV-10's Pilot and Chief Officer who guide both the Bronco and air traffic over fires, and the lasso is a visual metaphor for the circular radar tracks made by the S-2s, shown here as the icons you see in flight tracker apps.
